A beautiful salon located in the Sutherland Shire suburb of Jannali. Owners Michelle Hunjak and Nicole Benson wanted to create a warm space for everyone to enjoy, relax and feel comfortable in.
Tone & Bloom delivers a down-to-earth experience whilst clients receive a personalised service of the highest quality. We pride ourselves on our expansive knowledge in all areas of hair colouring, styling and cutting. ​
MEET OUR TEAM
Michelle Hunjak
Co-owner of Tone & Bloom
Although Michelle does enjoy cutting, colouring is where her heart is. She specialises in all areas of colour whether it be a lived-in blonde, glossy brunette with glittery texture or colour correction to get you where you want to be. Her mantra is “healthy hair, happy hair”.
With a committed 17 years behind the chair, Michelle's time was spent mainly in Sydney’s CBD, Surry Hills & Chippendale areas. In that time she also moved for 2 years to London and was able to work amongst some of the world's best colourists. Only a short time ago she decided it was time for a change and relocated to the Sutherland Shire to work with her hair bestie and now business partner Nicole.
Michelle is all about bringing the positive vibes and connecting with her clients on a deeper level, this ensures a great time in the chair and amazing hair!
Nicole Benson
Co-owner of Tone & Bloom
Nicole is one of the proud owners of Tone & Bloom. Her career in hairdressing spans over 20+ years. Nicole’s passion is and always has been colour. Specialised in all areas of colour, whether it be bright blonde, dimensional lived in blondes, brondes or pops of pastels.
Nicole started her career in Sydney’s CBD at the age of 16, where she spent a large portion of her career. There she met her future business partner Michelle and have been inseparable ever since.
Nicole’s passion for the hair industry keeps growing, she is always looking for ways to expand her skills and keep up with the latest trends by attending regular educational courses.
She is committed to making her clients feel happy, relaxed and well looked after when they sit in her chair.
Marija
Master Stylist and colourist
Marija prides herself on drawing inspiration from current trends and classic chic styles to thoughtfully craft flattering cuts and colours, perfectly tailored to each of her clients, making them feel fabulous on the outside and confident on the inside.
This focus on her customers has created a loyal clientele in her 30 years of hairdressing. Marija has worked in salons in NSW, Victoria and the United Kingdom, including working in fashion events and editorials.
As an experienced professional hairdresser, she has a high level of expertise in the art of hairdressing, continues to be passionate about the profession and has sincere respect for the opportunity to connect with clients.
My inspiration is to create a personalised style for each client as everybody is unique! My passion and joy is being in the zone of creating that personalised style for each client that highlights their beauty.
Jess
Emerging Stylist

Jess has been a passionate member of the industry for 4 years, and is only getting started!
A proud member of Tone & Bloom, Jess loves all things colour and cutting and is our go-to girl when it comes to styling and up-styles!
Jess loves a good laugh and brings positive vibes to the table (or should we say the chair). When it comes to hair, Jess loves making her clients feel pampered and special. She never fails to have them leave the salon with their dream hair.
